Why does it not unwind?

A true soliton needs an energy functional, topology or another dynamical obstruction. The drawing merely assumes persistence.

ROTATION

Where is the double cover?

Cosserat orientation naturally suggests SO(3). Electron spin requires a spinorial structure. That gap remains open.

RELATIVITY

Why is the lattice invisible?

A real substrate must recover the observed Lorentz symmetry and evade orientation/boost constraints, not just imitate a light cone visually.

Turn discomfort into the next drawing.

The next visual experiment should expose the core energy and allowed unwinding paths. If a supposed topological particle can dissolve continuously once boundary conditions are drawn honestly, the image should show it dying.
